Refractory Sheet Boards, Cylinders and Custom Shapes are engineered ceramic fiber reinforced structural composite with useful properties in thermal, structural and electrical insulating applications as well as contact and transport of molten nonferrous metals for temperatures up to 1650°C (3002°F).

Refractory Sheet Type RSLE-57 is a low expansion high strength reinforced silica matrix composite product. RSLE-57's exhibits a very low coefficient of expansion 0.3 x 10-6 °C  which provides remarkable  resistance to the thermal shock up to 1200°C (2192°F) in an oxidizing atmosphere and permits its use with rapid variation in temperature in that zone. Beyond 1200°C (2192°F) it transforms into a crystalline structure, while maintaining its properties up to 1650°C(3002°F) providing that there is no significant fall in temperature. At These elevated temperatures this the material will exhibit surface glazing while retaining its strength. RSLE-57 is non wetting with most non-ferrous metals.

Refractory Sheet Type RSLE-501 is a low expansion high strength reinforced silica matrix composites in a cylindrical form. This remarkable material was designed for use as a high strength, durable insulator in induction heat treating applications. RSLE-501's very low thermal expansion coefficient, 0.3 x 10-6 °C, and high hot strength combine to give it thermal shock resistance not found in other structural ceramic materials. It provides remarkable resistance to the thermal shock up to 1200°C (2192°F) and beyond. RSLE-501 is non wetting with most non-ferrous metals.

Refractory Sheet Type RS-100 Boards are ceramic fiber reinforced structural alumina composite material with useful properties to 1260°C (2300°F). They have flexural and compressive strength in the range of high temperature plastic but retain strength and utility to levels far exceeding maximum use temperatures of plastics. Mechanical properties of Type RS-100 sheets exceed those of asbestos cement materials over all temperature ranges. Their high Alumina content make them resistant to many environments including molten aluminum. They are not brittle and have high impact resistance. Type RS-100 is useful both as a full size panel and as a source for precision cut fabricated components. Type RS-200 Boards have all the properties of Type RS-100 with higher strength due to a finer reinforcement structure. This property makes Type RS-200 ideal for applications where intricate machining detail is needed. Types RS-101 and RS-201 & RS-202 Cylinders are fiber reinforced ceramic laminates in a cylindrical form. They exhibit the same properties as Type RS-100 and RS-200 respectively

Refractory Sheet Type RS-1200 is a high strength Alumina composite designed for use as thermo-mechanical and electrical insulation in applications with temperatures as high as 1300°C(2372°F). Type RS-1200 exhibit lower Compressive and flexural strength than RS-100.
