Application: Induction Coil Liners in Induction Melting Furnaces Product: RS-101 Cylinders Application Information: In this application, Refractory Sheet Type RS-101 Cylinders are used as: induction coil liners in induction melting furnaces where it offers virtually uninterrupted performance and is still reusable; as molten metal splash guards in induction furnaces where it prevents the possibility of electrical shock to the operator and protects the induction coil from being attacked by molten metal; as a direct replacement for Transite and other asbestos-cement type products; and a fireproof structural insulation. Benefits: RS-101 cylinders retain strength far exceeding maximum use temperatures of reinforced plastics and asbestos-cement type products; RS-101 cylinders withstand service temperatures to 1260°C(2300°F); RS-101 cylinders are 100% inorganic, and are not easily wetted by non-ferrous alloy spills, are not absorbent and are resistant to most harsh environments.
